Introduction

During the first stages of the FESTA V (“Going down”) the basic FOT goals are set. While generic tools can be used in the stages of “Function Identification and Description”, “Use Cases” and “Research Questions and Hypotheses”, these mainly concern project and document management. During the study design phases the basic FOT layout has to be created (e.g. sample size, fleet, FOT duration). From these parameters, tools can help to operationalize the abstract Use-cases into specific FOT directions.

Test planning

If the FOT is conducted under Semi-Controlled or Controlled operation, a Scenario Creation Tool is necessary.
