Maxime Flament holds a Ph.D. E.E. (2002) and M.Sc. E.E. (1997) in Digital Communication Systems and Technology from Chalmers University, Sweden where he worked as an assistant researcher until end of 2002. He also holds an Ingénieur Civil degree from the Free university of Brussels (1997). In 2001, he was visiting researcher at Stanford University, CA, USA. Maxime joined ERTICO end of 2003 focusing on road safety and related technologies. He was project coordinator for the ActMAP project and managed the Integrated Project PReVENT together with Daimler AG. He was the organiser of the IP PReVENT exhibition which took place in Sep. 2007. He is now Head of Sector for Safe Mobility in charge of several EC-funded projects and other initiatives. He is coordinator for the FeedMAP project (2004-2008) and participates to large scale Field Operational Tests activities with FESTA, EuroFOT, and finally, FOT-Net for which he is the coordinator. Maxime is also involved in the development of new projects with a current focus on Safety and Efficiency for the mobility of people.
