A single measure calculated from a direct measure (e. g. by applying mathematical or statistical operations) or a combination of one or more direct or derived measures.

A derived measure is based on one or more direct or other derived measures. It can either be computed in the vehicle before downsampling to the logging frequency, or afterwards, either before or after upload to the database.
