Agez (Integration of Communication Security into Advanced Simulation Environments) is a Java program which integrates a security library into a simulation component. This tool is coupled with advanced ITS simulation environments like VSimRTI. Agez supports major security measures and offers interfaces to access them within a simulation run. This can be done by either starting Agez stand-alone and using its socket interface for communication or by importing Agez as a library and consequently by using its methods directly. Main features are the signing of messages and the verification of the signatures as well as the encryption and decryption of messages. The concept of short living identifiers that are used for privacy protection is also considered. Thus it is possible to trigger the pseudonym change for a specific node by sending a simple message to the simulator.

Outputs security measures about influences of attacks, signing of messages, verification of signatures, pseudonym changes as well as about encryption and decryption of messages.
