IMIKASK - innovation in public transport

If public transport is to succeed in the future and considered a realistic alternative to the car, it is necessary to optimize the use of new technology and conjoining the different public transport. It is happening now in 30 million project named IMIKASK where flex trips and regular line buses are working close together in an advanced unified system. This is done through a large-scale experiments in Jammerbugt municipality in North Jutland - and that's as far as known the first time in the world, it happens.

IMIKASK stands for Intelligent Mobility Kask area, which are regions around the Kattegat and Skagerrak. IMIKASK must find solutions that provide increased mobility for all road users, reduce obstacles by traveling across borders, particularly for disabled people in sparsely populated areas, increasing the use of public transport throughout the region.

Objectives
