General Presentation

The MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group, with its head offices in Munich, Germany, is one of the leading international suppliers of commercial vehicles and transport systems. In the 2005 business year the company, which has a workforce of some 33,400 people, sold more than 68,200 trucks and over 6,000 buses and coaches, for a turnover of 7.4 billion euros. The MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group is the largest company within the MAN Group, which in turn is one of Europe’s leading engineering conglomerates.

Expertise

MAN is working in the area of driver assistance systems since 1990. Starting with the European Project Prometheus and followed by participation in numerous national and EU funded projects, the knowledge was acquired to be one of the first companies bringing ADAS systems into series production. ACC and LDW systems are in production since 2002. Further high sophisticated systems are in the cue.
